Mr. Urrea joined Zephyr Management LP in 1999 as a principal for Zephyr’s private equity funds in Mexico, ZN Mexico Trust and ZN Mexico II. Mr. Urrea served as an investment and operations officer for portfolio holdings, including a leading beauty and household care outsourced manufacturer and a branded food company. In addition to his monitoring responsibilities he was responsible for leading the sale process of two portfolio holdings, analyzing and screening private equity investment proposals including valuation, market analysis, divestment strategies, governance and management assessment. Mr. Urrea also led and participated in various investment banking transactions in the printed media, food and clothing industries. Prior to joining Zephyr, Mr. Urrea was Vice President of International Sales and Trading for Bancomer, Mexico’s second largest bank. Previously, Mr. Urrea held various positions in two other Mexican financial firms. Mr. Urrea holds an MBA from the Yale School of Management and received a B.A. in Business Administration from the Instituto Tecnológico Autonomo de México.
