Kartik is the Managing Director for Zephyr Peacock India Fund. He serves on the boards of Metro Wireless, Time Technoplast and Maxop Engineering.

Kartik has over a decade of experience in private equity, and has focused on investing in small and medium sized businesses. Prior to Zephyr Peacock, he was an Investment Manager at Ventureast Fund Advisors; one of India’s earliest venture capital firms focusing on technology, life sciences and manufacturing. Prior to Ventureast, Kartik was an Associate at Toucan Capital, a Washington DC area based early and mid stage venture capital fund. Preceding his career in private equity, Kartik spent time in technology, product development and entrepreneurship. He co-founded one of India’s first e-commerce transaction processing companies targeted at small businesses, and began his career as a member of the engineering team at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in California.

Kartik earned a Masters in Computer and Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland. He earned Bachelor degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics from Drake University.
